Ocra, Grapes, Bananas & Cucumber

Random paint blobs and swishes of acrylic paint, mono printed on a gelatin plate. I saw the image of grapes and bananas and in the randomness and highlighted them with an ink pen, adding leaves and lettering.

The Pear

"The Pear" seams to be an object most people use for a basic practice subject, more shapely than an apple, different color options and tastier when you are done. I took several still life photos last year, with a pear or two, on a vintage quilt from the 1920's. I thought it added a little extra color. I am happy with the results, although it was hard to do the fold in the quilt below the pear.

"Fortunately I had some fruit in the house. The bananas had gone bad, and I ate the watermelon and honeydew. I'm still using the kids watercolor set, but I decided not to use the Pigma pen, why do I need a hard outline around a circle? I have a capital letter "A" in my rubber stamp collection, which I would not have known about, if I had not sorted through my stamps. I tried to go back and shade the word apple, which was a mistake as it just made it look clunky. Maybe some white gel pen to highlight it?"
