Breakfast

5" x 7" drawing pad, mechanical pencil, colored pencils. Jan. 4, 2013.
I don't think I am finished with this one. I was going to add color to the wood grain table and write H2O on the bottle, and finish coloring the coffee cup. I may even go over it with ink. I mistakenly scanned it in black and white mode, so I am showing both versions. My hospital breakfast of cottage cheese, banana and coffee.

Toast and Jam

Every Day Matters #162 - Draw your breakfast. Pencil sketch, watercolor paints. Dec. 19, 2012.
My breakfast was handmade strawberry-raspberry jam made by a neighbor, with cream cheese on multi-grain toast. The scanner doesn't do very well on light colored paintings, it won't pick up the subtle colors. There is light blue along the whole rim of the paper plate and shadows. The raspberry did not come out very well :( but I like the leaves and vines.

Condiments

Every Day Matters #319 - Draw the condiments on the table at a diner or restaurant. Drawing pad, 5" x 7" pencil sketch, watercolor, Pigma pen. Oct. 6, 2012.
Waiting for breakfast, I sketched the metal wire rack holding the salt, pepper, sugar, Tabasco, and sweetener packets. The creamer was in a separate dish, and the jams had their own rack. At home I added the watercolor and Pigma pen.
